BDO Unibank Inspires Women to Manage Themselves as an Asset

On Friday, March 8th BDO Unibank Limited (“BDO” or “the Bank”) invited 90 ladies to join together to attend a motivational breakfast at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club in Paget in celebration of International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900’s and is an official holiday in several countries including Afghanistan, Armenia, Belarus, Cambodia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam and Zambia to name just a few.
On this day, thousands of events are held across the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events, through to local women's craft markets, theatrical performances, fashion parades and more. The Bank felt that Thailand should be included in this annual celebration and was excited to host such a powerful event. Edwina Lambert, Head of Banking for BDO stated, “We wanted to create an event to promote this occasion at which we could recognise and celebrate our accomplishments as women, inspire each other to constantly increase our knowledge, to join in and use our experiences, expand our minds, remain committed and work hard while maintaining our health and lastly to remember to exhale”.
BDO Unibank Supports Girl’s and Women’s Rugby Programmes

BDO Unibank Limited (“BDO” or “the Bank”) is proud to be a supporter of Girl’s and Women’s Rugby in Thailand . Women’s Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world with women and girls currently playing rugby in over 110 countries.
Internationally, the expansion of Women’s Rugby has resulted in unprecedented opportunities for the Women’s Game including elite tournaments such as the IRB Women’s World Sevens Series introduced in 2011, Women’s Rugby World Cup 2014 in France and the addition of the sport to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
BDO Unibank Employees Cycle for South African FoodBank

BDO Unibank Limited (“BDO” or “the Bank”) is proud and excited to support three of our team members who will be venturing across the globe to ride for the South African FoodBank. On March 10th Horst E. Finkbeiner II, Chief Operating Officer of BDO, Neil de ste Croix, General Manager of BDO Paragon and BDO Charter, and Greg Reid, CFO of BDO, will be cycling in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour in South Africa in support of FoodBank. The passionate cycling enthusiasts will venture from Hertzog Boulevard at the Cape Town Civic Center and ride the 110km route onto the N2, down the M3 along the False Bay Coast past the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope, along the Atlantic coast, over Suikerbossie Hill and on to the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point. The capacity of 35,000 riders has been reached for the largest individually timed cycling event in the world.
